About the Role
PQMS is seeking a highly skilled IT Security Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of experience in IT security. The candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing secure IT systems and networks, mitigating risks, and responding to security incidents.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement secure network solutions to defend against advanced cyber threats.
Identify, evaluate, and mitigate security risks to IT systems and data.
Perform vulnerability testing, risk analyses, and security assessments.
Respond to all system and/or network security breaches.
Ensure that the organization's data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate security controls.
Participate in the change management process.
Conduct training and provide security awareness guidance to IT staff.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
At least 2 years of work experience as an IT Security Engineer or a similar role.
Extensive understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, and security systems.
Detailed technical knowledge of database and operating system security.
Hands-on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, and authentication systems.
Professional certification in information security (CISSP, CISM, CEH, etc.) is a plus.
